Ashton Tweed’s Five Step Search Process:
Step One – Position Specification
- In-Depth understanding of client operations, organization and culture.
- Company vision and career opportunities.
- Position responsibilities, reporting relationship, education and professional requirements.
- A written Ashton Tweed Position Specification for review and approval.
Step Two – Identification and Qualification
- Research the potential organizations that are likely sources and review for client
perspective.
- Prospective candidates will be contacted, screened and evaluated.
- A narrow list of candidates and their background profiles will be developed and submitted for feedback.
Step Three – Client Interviews
- Coordinate interviews with appropriate individuals.
- Select finalists, conduct reference and background checks as required.
- Facilitate next round of interviews with finalists.
- Executive selection.
Step Four - Negotiation
- Salary and benefits – clarify retirement plans, expense policies, etc.
- Additional compensation such as bonus, commission, etc.
- Facilitate the candidate to a “yes.”
Step Five – Quality Control & Follow Up
- Phone meeting with the client and the new executive after the first week to insure mutual satisfaction.
- One month anniversary check-in with all parties.
- 90 and 180 day assessment discussion with the client and the executive. Obtain
feedback to improve services.
