Sanofi, Verily launch new diabetes JV
Sanofi and Verily announce diabetes joint venture, Onduo, a year after Sanofi’s original partnership with Google Life Sciences on diabetes monitoring.
Sanofi and Verily are investing $248M each for Onduo, which seeks to provide diabetics a more “service-centric approach” to managing their disease by combining devices, software, pharmaceuticals and professional care.
While the companies detailed generalities about the JV, Stefan Oelrich, Sanofi’s Global Diabetes franchise chief, declined to provide specifics because the partnership is still a “work in progress.”
