Teva launches EpiPen generic at same price as Mylan’s version

Teva launched a generic epinephrine autoinjector at the price of $300 per two-pack, matching the cost of Mylan’s low-cost version of its EpiPen.

 

Teva has released limited doses of the 0.3 mg autoinjector. The children’s version (0.15 mg) and additional supplies of the 0.3 mg autoinjector will be available in 2019. EpiPen supplies have been patchy since Mylan has faced production issues, but Teva’s supplies are limited at the moment, so its unclear whether they will have a major commercial impact.
