Share

In PwC’s Annual Global CEO Survey, CEOs claimed they were looking to the US for business growth in 2015. For the first time in five years, business leaders rate the US as their most important market for overseas growth. This will increase pressure on US businesses to hire the people they need to expand.

US CEOs are aware that they need to amplify innovation. This year, 80% of US CEOs are looking for a broader range of skills than they previously have. However, skills shortages are a still a factor: 78% of US CEOs are concerned about the availability of key skills (up from 70% last year). Concern levels are rising even with 59% of CEOS expecting to expand in 2015.

CEOs are also focused on digital investment for their companies by looking for tech-savvy talent. Of US CEOs, 46% say that it is “very important” to integrate digital technology through hiring and training strategies.
