In a recent report titled “Innovation in animal health,” HealthforAnimals called vaccination the “biggest breakthrough” in the field in the past 100 years, with the global market for animal health vaccines expected to hit $7.2B by 2020.

Vaccination has improved the health of both animals and people globally, and the report showed that 89% of animal health experts thought the human health sector could focus more on preventative healthcare. Diseases like rabies continue to proliferate, indicating barriers to vaccine use.

HealthforAnimals mentions streamlining the regulatory process to fix this problem by lowering the number of people needed to sign off on a vaccine.
