Center for Connected Health and Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. Sign Agreement to Co-Develop a Mobile App to Support Patients with Atrial Fibrillation

The Center for Connected Health has announced a co-development agreement with Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. Both parties have agreed to create a mobile app to serve as a coaching platform for patients with atrial fibrillations that have been prescribed oral anticoagulation therapy. This mobile app will be used to support patients living with atrial fibrillation by helping improve patient adherence and compliance to medication. The app will also permit feedback between patient and provider. Both parties believe that this app will encourage proactive behavior on the part of the patient to take care of him/herself as well as bolster open and informed communication between provider and patient.
