EXCLUSIVE: Express Scripts Inc. CFO Out After Clashes With CEO
Express Scripts has announced that CFO Cathy Smith will leave the company. She will be replaced by James Havel, CFO of Major Brands Holdings, on an interim basis, starting January 2, 2015. The company said that Smith was leaving to ‘pursue other interests,’ but it appears she was unable to get along with CEO George Paz.
Although Express Scripts terminated 400 employees earlier this year, the firm saw income leap 36 percent to $582.3 million for the quarter ending in September. Still, this shake-up at the highest level makes some traders nervous.
