How do different types of manufacturing businesses use social media?

The initial reluctance to believe that social media was important for B2B marketing in manufacturing has faded as the global economy transitions to online strategies. SBN Interactive polled 223 U.S. manufacturing companies to see how and why they are using social media. More than half of manufacturers claimed they use social media for their businesses, but the ways in which they used it varied greatly based on which sector of manufacturing they worked in.

 

The survey’s results show that manufactures have hopped on the social media bandwagon due to the opportunities it presents. The most important finding, however, was that half of the companies using social media said their strategies could be more effective. Therefore, no matter how they are using social media, it is key to develop a digital content strategy to get the best results.
