What Can Employers Do to Attract And Retain Top Regulatory Talent?

Share

In a Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society survey, it is evident that regulatory professionals are often hired from outside organizations – 65% of Vice Presidents, 58% of Directors, and 56% of managers. What does this mean? This means that employers don’t only to have to compete for top regulatory professionals, they also have to compete with other organizations to retain their own employees. The loss of knowledge when a regulatory expert leaves is disadvantageous, so companies must find a way to retain the regulatory talent they already have.

RAPS did a survey to see what attracted regulatory professionals to their current jobs. This gives insight to employers on how to retain their talented employees. The top five answers are ranked by importance below:

1. Work environment

2. Salary and benefits

3. Location

4. Mission of the organization

5. Opportunities for advancement
